Mary died Jjuly 31, 2009 in Memphis, Shelby Co., TN. OBIT: Funeral services for Mary Jane "Janie" Jamison, 63, of Greenville will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Aug. 31, 2009, at Regional Medical Center, Memphis, Tenn. Burial will be in Roundaway Baptist Church Cemetery, Indianola.
Mrs. Jamison was born Oct. 31, 1945, in Sunflower County to the late Clyde and Flossye Mae Griffin. She moved to Greenville at an early age where she grew up and attended school. She was employed at Delta Regional Medical Center in the burn unit as a burn patient technician for 22 years.
She is survived by her son, Kenny Jamison of Jackson; two daughters, Lillie Jamison and Malissa Kay Jamison, both of Hernando; her sister, Juanita Toten of Amory; four grandchildren, Janie Ann Powers, Casey Delane Jamison, Dalton Lee Jamison and C.J. Fulwood; and her boyfriend, John Newton of Lake Village, Ark.
Casey Jamison, Ricky Toten, Jamie Toten, Steven Toten, Jeremiah Toten and Joey Toten will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Greenville.
The Rev. Steve Burton will officiate.
