She married twice. She married Robert Oden C. Covington March 7, 1931 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. Robert was born April 21, 1908 in Lincoln Co., MS. Robert was the son of Odom Carroll Covington and Lena Mae Dumont. Robert died January 5, 1953 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. She married James Marshall Lack November 11, 1957.

Elizabeth (Bessie) Mae Newman and Robert Oden C. Covington had the following children:
