He married twice. He married Margaret Ann Bailey February 19, 1866 in Hazlehurst, Copiah Co., MS. Margaret was born 1846 in Wesson, Copiah Co, MS. Margaret was the daughter of Caleb D. Bailey and Serena East. Margaret died 1868 in Wesson, Copiah Co, MS. He married Frances Isabell Mullins February 16, 1869 in Franklin Co., MS. Frances was born November 21, 1841 in Copiah Co., MS. Frances was the daughter of James Madison Mullins and Zilphia Day. Frances died March 8, 1925 in Franklin Co., MS. 1920 Franklin County, Mississippi Census, shows her living in the household of her daughter Francis and her husband.
