Julian died January 1, 2004 in Jefferson Co., KY. OBIt: Julian H. "Bud" Allgood, 66, of Louisville, died Thursday at Caritas Medical Center. He was a native of Bold Springs, GA, a retired employee after 46 years at National Linen Service, a member of Ralph Avenue Baptist Church and Valley Masonic Lodge #511 and a volunteer for Shively Area Ministries and Meals on Wheels. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Nina Bentley and Jewell Allgood, and stepmother, Esther Allgood. Survivors include his wife, the former Marjorie Wright; children, Jeané Bolton and Dennis, Steven and Michael Allgood; stepbrother, Bill Allen; stepsisters, Ruthann VanHorn and Sharon Neff; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., a family-owned and operated funeral home centre. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday.
He married Marjorie Wright in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. Marjorie was born January 21,1940 in loisville. Marjorie died May 27, 2017 in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. OBIT: Allgood, Marjorie P. (Wright), 77, passed away May 27,2017.
She work at Crum's Lane Elementary School 27 years in the cafeteria and was a member of Ralph Avenue Baptist Church.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Julian H. Allgood.
She is survived by her children Jeane' C. Bolton (Steven), Dennis W. Allgood, Steven H. Allgood (Shirley) and Michael B. Allgood (Jeanie); sister Dorothy Traynor; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday at 9 A.M. until 1 P.M. funeral time.
