Alice died December 17, 2013 in Wheat Ridge, Jefferson Co., CO. OBIT: Alice Mae (Rawson) Atkinson was born on November 19, 1935 to William and Ester (Newton) Rawson in Wray, Colorado. She passed at the Collier Hospice Center in Wheatridge, Colorado on December 17, 2013, at the age of 78, after losing her battle to cancer. Alice attended school graduating from Yuma High School with the class of 1954. After graduation she married Carl Junior Atkinson in Wray, Colorado, to this union a daughter, Kathy, and a son, Kerry, were born. Alice and Carl were just recently blessed with 60 years of marriage together on November 28, 2013.
Alice was a stay at home mother and wife. Alice loved to travel and spend time with her family. She believed that family always came first.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ester Rawson.
She is survived by her husband, Carl J. Atkinson of Denver, Colorado; daughter Kathy Brophy and husband, Bruce of Broomfield, Colorado; son, Kerry L. Atkinson and wife, Jamiee of Arvada, Colorado; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; brother, Orval D. Rawson and wife, Cathy of Yuma, Colorado; Dennie L. Rawson and wife, Dee of Colorado Springs, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Baucke Funeral Chapel in Yuma, Colorado with Pastor Dave McQuisten officiating.
She married Carl Raymond Atkinson JR November 28, 1953 in Wray, Yuma Co., CO. Carl was born April 22,1932 in Yuma, Eckley Co., CO.. Carl died February 7, 2020 in Denver, Denver Co, CO.
Alice Mae Rawson and Carl Raymond Atkinson JR had the following children:

18815 ii. Kerry L. Atkinson was born 1962. Kerry died February 23, 2016 in Yuma, Yuma Co., CO.
