He was married to Nellie F. Lindamood in 1963. They divorced.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by two daughters, Paula (Kevin) Kelly of Luverne, Ala., and Samantha (Gary) Zeller of Houston, Texas; one brother, Robert O. Boord of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Helen Clements of Hillsboro and Thelma Irwin of Veedersburg; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded by one son, Michael Boord, one brother and one sister.
