She was born on Feb. 3, 1942, in Carrollton, the daughter of the late Ollie Mae Brooks Ward and Oscar Ward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Haney; brothers, Edward Ward, Oscar Ward, Jr., and Harold Ray Ward. Survivors include her sons, Mike Haney, Wesley Haney and Tracy Haney, all of Buchanan; sisters, Shirley Collins and Sue Wellborn, Carrollton, and Mary Land of Bowdon; and brothers, Billy Ward, Jack Ward and Robert and Reudean Ward, Carrollton. Funeral services: Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, 2 p.m., Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel. Officiants: Rev. Milford Ballenger and Rev. Pete Collins. Interment: Carrollton City Cemetery.
