Richard died August 17,1953 in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA. OBIT: Richard Elwood Anderson, was born, and raised in Grand Cane, Louisiana.

He served in the U.S. Army between June 1949-Dec.1952. He received an Honorably (medical) discharge, for War related injuries. Richard passed away in the ICU ward, at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA, Aug 17,1953, less than a year after receiving a medical discharge from the Army. Richard is survived by Wive Ellen, Son Richard, and 6 month old Daughter Nancy, his Father, Clarence C. Anderson, Step Mother Jimmy Bell, three brothers, and two sisters, all of La. He is also survived by Grandmother Mary Alma Palmer Anderson of La, and Grandmother Francis C Donahue of Ak. He is preceded in death by his Mother Pansy Violet Males Anderson, Grandfather William D Anderson, both of La., Also preceded in death G-Grandfather William D. Anderson a Civil War Vet., and his G-Grandmother Ophelia Lafitte Anderson. He was an assistant, and youth pastor at the Assembly of God Church.

He married Ellen (___).
