Chester died June 12, 2008 in Salt Creek, TX. OBIT: Chester W. “Hup” Myrick, age 56, of the Salt Creek Community, died Thursday afternoon at his home following a courageous fight and suffering following a head on collision on Sept. 13, 2005, on C. C. Woodson Rd.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the May United Methodist Church with cremation to follow under the direction of Heartland Funeral & Cremation Services of Early. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.He was born Jan. 21, 1952, in Brownwood, the son of Bill and Ruth Myrick. He graduated from Brownwood High School in 1970 and had been a lifelong resident of the Brownwood area. Following the retirement of his father, he took over the family business, Myrick’s Trim Shop.
He was a devoted Christian his entire life and a member of the May United Methodist Church and strived to live and walk his Christian faith for all.
He leaves behind his wife, Annie, of Blanket; two daughters, Morisa of McKinney and Autumn and her husband Ken of Park City, Kan.; two sons, Gary Shane and wife Ana of Augusta, Kan., and Cary Shaun and wife Jennifer of Kingman, Kan., eight grandchildren; a sister, Candace Morris and husband Bob; a brother of choice, Doug Harman and wife Margaret; numerous nieces, nephews and other family survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents. c
He married four times. He married Pamela Ann Manning. Pamela was the daughter of Joe Bob Manning.
