Robbie died December 3,2013 in Ennis, Ellis Co., TX. OBIT: Robbie Don Flynt, 72, of Ennis (Bardwell) went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in Ennis, Texas. Don was born on September 23, 1941 to Harold L. (H.L.) Flynt and Clemmie Ann (Clementine Annie) Gillespie Flynt in Avalon, Texas. He grew up in Ennis, attended Ennis schools, and graduated from Ennis High School in 1959. Don attended Texas A&M University and Louisiana Tech. On September 2, 1960, he married Geraldine Joan Culpepper. Don and Joan made their home in Ennis, Texas. Don drove a truck for many years, and owned several businesses, as well. He co-owned Weaver Spring and Brake for twenty six years and worked there for two years before becoming a co-owner. Because of his love for traveling and his truck driving jobs, he had the pleasure of saying he had driven to 49 of the 50 United States. For many years, Don and Joan were co-leaders of the JOY (Just Older Youth) group at Anthony Drive Baptist Church. They took their "old people" on several trips, including one to Yellowstone National Park. He was a member of Anthony Drive Baptist Church, and also attended the Ennis Cowboy Church. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at a young age while attended Tabernacle Baptist Church of Ennis. Don's final journey took him to a glorious destination called Heaven, where he was greeted by those who have made the journey before him. We believe he's enjoying a good cup of coffee and some of his Momma's peach cobbler. He loved to spend time deer hunting with family and friends. His yard was always immaculate because he believed in mowing it as soon as it began growing to keep things beautiful around their home. Don is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Joan, daughter, Virginia LeAnn (Ginger) Richardson, and her husband Mark, twin sons, Robbie Wayne Flynt, and his wife Elizabeth, and Robert Layne Flynt, all of Ennis. He is survived by his six grandchildren who lovingly called him Paw Paw, Rebekah Von Richardson Bibb and her husband Steve, of Ennis, Jacob Paul Richardson and his wife Melissa, of Midlothian, Ethan Wayne Flynt, Colton Joshua Flynt, Carly Jo Flynt, and Sarah Elizabeth Flynt, all of Ennis, two great grandchildren, Michael Lukas Espinosa and Jaiden Mark Espinosa, two step-great grandchildren, Josh and Matthew Bibb. Don is also survived by his brother, Jon Paul Flynt, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, employees, and hunting buddies, and special friend Renee Potter. Don was preceded in death by his parents, H.L. and Clemmie Flynt, his brother, Edwin Flynt, and his beloved Aunt Jettie Gillespie Gilmore. Visitation will be held at J.E.
