Geald Lee¹⁰ Pruett (Louie May⁹ Staggs, Jesse Cleveland⁸, Rachel⁷ Allgood, Spencer⁶, Edward⁵, William⁴ Algood, Edward³ Allgood, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Parke Co., IN January 26, 1938. Geald died July 3, 2003 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN. OBIT: Gerald L. Pruett, 65, Crawfordsville, died Thursday in Yellow Rose Hospice at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Mr. Pruett owned and operated Standard gas stations, retiring in 1998. He owned G&K Standard and worked at Dave's Standard. He attended school at New Richmond and Coal Creek. He attended First Baptist Church and served on the North Montgomery School Board in the late 1970s. He was born Jan. 26, 1938, at Parke County, to Ronald and Louie Staggs Pruett. Surviving are his mother, at Crawfordsville; four sons, Steven, New York City, N.Y./Naples, Fla., and David, Donald 'Whitey' and John, all of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Lisa Frazee, West Lafayette, and Lori Pruett, Crawfordsville; two brothers, Russell, New Richmond, and Jesse, Crawfordsville; a sister, Shirley Franklin, Bloomington, Ill.; 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A brother, Max, and his father are deceased.Funeral services are scheduled 1 p.m. Monday in Burkhart Funeral Home, 300 S. Grant Ave., with the Revs. Mike Wren and James Ranard officiating. Burial will be in New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday in the funeral home.
