Ryland died August 2, 2011 in Chase City, Mecklenburg Co., VA. OBIT: Ryland Leo Allgood, 78, of Chase City, passed away on Aug. 2, 2011.
He was born on May 1, 1933 to the late Howard Sidney and Lena Griffin Allgood.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lawson Allgood, two sons, Ricky Allgood and Donnie Allgood of Chase City, four grandchildren, Bryan Allgood, Whitney Allgood, Aaron Allgood, and Maggie Allgood, a devoted sister, Edith Nicholson, brothers, Houston Allgood, Meredith Allgood, and Butch Allgood, sisters, Christine Matthews, Marie Honeycutt, Joyce Wilson, and Judy Glasscock, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He owned and operated Allgood Store for many years; he was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, and an Army Veteran.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Parker officiating. Interment followed at Bethel Baptist Church
He married Margaret Lawson May 18,1953 in Granville Co, NC. Margaret was born July 22, 1934.
Ryland Leo Allgood and Margaret Lawson had the following children:
