He married Evelyn Forsythe. Evelyn was born 1929. Evelyn was the daughter of Sam P. Forsythe and Callie Taylor. Evelyn died September 16, 2012 in Bunn, Franklin Co., NC. OBIT: Evelyn Forsythe Finch, 83, died Sunday morning, Sept. 16, 2012 at her home. Funeral service was held Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg. Burial followed at Lancaster Memorial Park.

She was a daughter of the late Sam P. and Callie Taylor Forsythe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas “J.T.” Finch, Jr.

Surviving: daughters, Jo Ann (Willie) Arnold of Bunn, Annette (Mike) Wood of Spring Hope; sons, Thomas (Rosa) Finch of Louisburg, Freddie (Charlene) Finch, Steve (Sandy) Finch, all of Bunn; sister Frances (Jay) Dugger of Tacoma, Wash.; brother, Buddy (Roslyn) Forsythe of Roanoke Rapids; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
