Sue died February 19, 2013 in Pinehurst, Moore Co., NC. OBIT: Sue Dunn Robertson, age 94, a resident of Carolina House in Pinehurst, and a former resident of Cypress Drive in Henderson, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, in Pinehurst.. Born on Oct. 12, 1918, in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late William J. Dunn and Geneva Weldon Dunn, and was the widow of Woodrow W. Robertson.. Mrs. Robertson was a member of the First Baptist Church in Henderson where she was a former Sunday School Teacher, having taught for 25 years in the Adult, Intermediate and Dorothy Currin Sunday School classes, and was a former member of the Sue Kelly Missionary Circle. She was also a former member of the James B. White Chapter of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and Daughters of 1812. She was a member of the former Henderson Woman’s Club, board of directors of the Vance County Cancer Society of which she served as president, and the Granville County Genealogy Society.. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at 1:30 p.m., at Elmwood Cemetery by Dr. Marion D. Lark and the Rev. David Helms.. She is survived by one daughter, Carol Eaves Robertson and husband, Tony, of Aberdeen; two grandsons, Anthony Craig Robertson Jr. and Andrew Wilson Robertson; and six great-grandchildren..
She married twice. She married Brookston O'Brient Eaves October 6, 1938 in Epsom, Vance Co., NC. Brookston was born April 8, 1918 in Hayesville, Franklin Co., NC. Brookston was the son of Charles O'Briant Eaves and Addie Lou Ayscue. Brookston died January 2,1964 in Henderson, Vance Co., NC. She married Woodrow Wilson Robertson March 3, 1962 in Vance Co., NC. Woodrow was born October 23,1912 in Warren Co., NC. Woodrow was the son of Matthew H Robertson and Susan E Overby. Woodrow died May 13, 1989 in Vance Co., NC.
