In 1922 after the death of her mother she was adopted by the Fessler family and her name was changed to Betty Bee Fesler Bernice died Jfanuary 17, 2011 in Dallas, Dallas Co., TX. OBIT: Betty Bee Fesler Walker passed away on 17 January 2011. Betty was born Bernice Lola Nichols in Iowa, adopted by the Fesler family at age 7, and spent her youth in Oklahoma. She was a devoted alumna of OU, and a proud member of Gamma Phi Beta. In later life she was a longtime member of the Halcyon Club, as well as a devoted Grammy and great-grandmother. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel A. Walker, Jr., in 1976; by her son-in-law Farid Rawdah in 2003; and by her daughter Jayne Ann Walker Rawdah in 2009. She is survived by her grandchildren, Solena Rawdah of Portland, OR and Douglas Rawdah of Dallas; their spouses; and 5 beloved granddaughters, Ariel, Alexa, Elora, Lucy, and Noor. Graveside service 3:00 p.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Rev. Bill Smith, officiating.
She married Samuel A. Walker JR. Samuel was born 1915. Samuel died 1976 in Dallas, Dallas Co., TX.
