William died December 12, 2004 in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. OBIT: BRUCE, WILLIAM STANLEY, 72, of Louisville, died Sunday, December 12, 2004, at Norton Southwest Hospital. He was a native of Kosmosdale, KY, a retired automotive mechanic, an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #5421. He is survived by his wife, Freida S. (nee Grant) Bruce; sons, Victor and Eric Bruce; daughters, Dorlia Bruce and Theresa Gardner; brothers, Harry and Forman Jr. Bruce; sisters, Audrey Shipley, Mildred Wilkersor and Wanda Kersey; nine grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
He married twice. He married Martha Thomas.
