Lorraine died January 12, 2013 in Grimes, IA. OBIT: Lorraine Ruth Allgood, 56, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 12, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Johnston Evangelical Free Church with burial at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Grimes. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McLaren's Chapel in West Des Moines.
Lorraine was a member of the Johnston Evangelical Free Church. She loved bible studies, worship music, praising her Lord, and getting together with friends.
Her memory will be cherished by her son, Lanny Carter (Beth Johnston) of Grimes; brother, Larry Allgood of Des Moines; sisters, Marlene (Ron) Shelley of Grimes and Phyllis (Kevin) Buttrey of Carlisle; and grandchildren, Logan, Emma, and Sophia Carter.
