She was born, October 26, 1931 in Wilkinsville, Georgia, a daughter of Hiram Allgood and Annie Oogletree Allgood. Also, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Eldona Jones and her husband Buster, Alice Hatfield, and Chester Clyde Luke. She had lived most of her life in Calhoun and was a graduate of Calhoun High School, Class of 1949. She was a member of the College Street Church of God.
Anne is survived by her husband Rembert C. Shope to whom she was married December 25, 1954; one sister, Jane Smith of Calhoun; and three sisters in law, Carolyn Sloan, Pauline England, and Leona Pankey all of Calhoun; many special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 2, at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Dr. James Shope officiating. Burial will be in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park with Reverend Mike Clark officiating. The Shope family will receive friends from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Tommy Sloan, David Smith, Kenneth Sisson, Larry England, Alan Jones, and Randy Pulliam. They are asked to meet at the funeral home 1:30 PM Monday.
She married Rembert C. Shope December 25, 1954.
Rembert was born February 15, 1932 in Gordon Co., GA. Rembert was the son of Lee Shope and Kate Wyatt. Rembert died May 12, 2021 in Calhoun, Godon Co., GA.
