He married Ruenette Annie Melton. Ruenette was born October 25, 1919 in Lawrenceville, Gwinnett Co., GA. Ruenette was the daughter of James Joseph Melton and Maude Marandy Clark. Ruenette died December 1, 2000 in Manchester, Coffee Co., TN. OBIT: ALLGOOD, Ruenette, 81, of Manchester, Tennessee died Monday, December 4, 2000 at her residence. A native of Lawrenceville, Georgia she was the daughter of the late James Joseph Melton and Maude Mirandy Clark Melton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lincoln Heights Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Allgood. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lincoln Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by sons, Kenneth Allgood, Tullahoma, Leon Allgood, Manchester, Bobby Allgood, Lynchburg, Tennessee; daughter, Rebecca Gober, Manchester; sister, Doris Hoopaugh, Winder, Georgia; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 5, 2000 at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel Rev. Louis Rideout officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the Hospice of the Highland Rim.
