Hazel died March 26, 2011 in Dobson, NC. OBIT: Mrs. Hazel H. Hutchens, 84, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born November 26, 1926 in Yadkin County to the late John and Mary Jane Hutchens. Mrs. Hutchens worked with Turner-White Casket Company in Winston-Salem for several years. She retired with several years of service from working at Yadkin Nursing Center, and was a member of Pilot View Friends Meeting. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Robert Hutchens, Sr., by a granddaughter, Amanda Sue Hutchens, two brothers, and a very special friend, Shirley Dean Dixon Hershey. Surviving are her beloved children, Dallas Robert (Shirley) Hutchens, Jr., of King; William "Bill" (Fernita) Hutchens, Yadkinville; Mary "Libby" Cearley, Jonesville; grandchildren, Stephanie and Jake Hinshaw, Robin Lynn (Earl) Thompson, Johnny Wayne (Shannon) Hutchens, Dicky Lee (Gail) Hutchens, B.J. (Cassandra) Hutchens, Jason Hutchens, and friend, Jessica Hunter; great-grandchildren, Dylan Robert Hutchens, Theresa Mae Thompson, Earl Thompson III, Ethan Hutchens, Caleb Hutchens, Braylin Hutchens, Casey Hutchens, Kelsie Hutchens, Kadence Martin. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. John Samuel Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilot View Friends Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Woltz Hospice Home, staff of 9th Floor General Medical of Forsyth Medical Center, and Yadkin Nursing Center, especially the Staff of 700 Hall, for all the loving care given to Mrs. Hutchens
She married Dallas Robert Hutchens. Dallas was born April 6, 1923. Dallas died June 11, 1993 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co., NC. Dallas was buried in the Pilot View Friends Meeting Church Cemetery, Yadkin Co., NC
