OBIT: Services for Percy Ray Smith of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Thursday, July 15, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation was Wednesday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith, 72, died July 13, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare in Brookhaven. He was born in Franklin County on April 8, 1932, to Louis N. Smith and Omie Smith.
He was retired from Synergy Gas Company. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Damascus Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his father and his daughter, Janice Ann Smith. Survivors are his mother, Omie Smith of Brookhaven; his wife, Mary Louise Case Smith of Brookhaven; his sons, Ricky Ray Smith and his wife, Patricia, of Brookhaven, John Keith Smith and his wife, Stephanie, of McCall Creek, and Jimmy Dewayne Smith and his wife, Donna, of Bogue Chitto; his sisters, Rosemary Case of Brookhaven and Judy Townsend of Ruth; his grandchildren, Amy Davis, Casey Smith, Cole Smith, Matt Gilbert, Sophia Gilbert and Guy Orr; one great-grandchild, Baylor Davis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He married Mary Louise Case. Mary was born 1929 in Lincoln Co., MS. Mary was the daughter of Wiley Melvin Case.
Percy Ray Smith and Mary Louise Case had the following children:
