Annie died May 1, 2005 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Services for Annie Britt Kyle, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4 at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home. Mrs. Kyle, 70, died May 1, 2005, at her residence. She was born in Lincoln County on Dec. 8, 1934, to Oscar Britt and Elsie Walker Britt. She was retired from Stahl Urban. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, Timmy Kyle; and two brothers, James O. Britt and Monvell Britt. Survivors are her husband, William R. Kyle, of Brookhaven; her daughters, Cindy Smith and her husband, Joel, and Tammy Windham and her husband, Jon, all of Brookhaven; her sister, Avis Smith, of Brookhaven; two sisters-in-law, Bess Britt and Ruby Lee Britt; a brother-in-law, Jim Crews; her grandchildren, Dee Smith, Kyle Smith, Will Smith, Blake Windham, Caleb Windham, all of Brookhaven; a great-grandchild, Trey Smith, of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She married William R. Kyle December 25, 1955 in Lincoln Co., MS. William was born March 4, 1934. William was the son of Marcus H. Kyle and Edith Mitchell. William died March 16, 2007 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Services for William R. Kyle, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home, Natchez Drive location, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Kyle, 73, died Nov. 16, 2007, at King's Daughters Medical Center. He was born on March 4, 1934, to Marcus Kyle and Edith Mitchell Kyle. He was retired from Wal-Mart. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Annie Britt Kyle; his son, Timmy Kyle; and his brother, Hilton Kyle. Survivors are his daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Joel Smith, and Tammy and Jon Windham, all of Brookhaven; his brothers, Jimmy Crews, of Mexico Beach, Fla., and Frank Still and wife Agnes, of Denham Springs, La.; his sister, Carolyn Kyle, of Byram; his sisters-in- law, Avis Smith, Ruby Britt, and Bess Britt, all of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, Dee, Kyle, and Will Smith, and Blake and Caleb Windham, all of Brookhaven; and his great-grandchild, Trey Smith, of Brookhaven.
