He married Catherine Elizabeth McFadden November 23, 1947 in Lincoln Co., MS. Catherine was born May 9, 1925 in Bogue Chitto, Lincoln Co., MS. Catherine was the daughter of Willie E. McFadden and Flossie Rollins. Catherine died February 6, 2016 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co, MS. OBIT: Graveside services for Catherine Elizabeth “Bess” Britt will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016, at 3:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Ronnie Lofton will be officiating the services while Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will also be at Brookhaven Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday, February 8, 2016.

Mrs. Britt, 90, passed from this life on February 6, 2016, at Kings Daughter’s Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS. She was born May 9, 1925 in Bogue Chitto, MS, to Will E. and Flossie Rollins McFadden. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto, MS. She was a graduate of Bogue Chitto High School. She spent most of her adult life in Brookhaven, where she raised her family and will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker whose hobbies included camping, fishing and gardening. Her family and friends recognized her talent as an accomplished seamstress and cook.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Will E. and Flossie Rollins McFadden; husband, Monvell Lee “Eute” Britt; brother, John Elton McFadden; and sisters, Doris McFadden Scott and Pearl McFadden.

Survivors are her daughters, Brenda B. Sasser and husband Donnie of Brookhaven, MS, and Rosemary L. Britt of Brookhaven, MS; grandchildren, Allison Sasser Smith and husband Wade and Skip Sasser; great grandchildren, Brendan Melton, Parker and MacKenzie Smith; special sister-in-law, Avis Britt Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Monvell Lee Britt and Catherine Elizabeth McFadden had the following children:
