Glenn died May 15, 2006 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN. Obit: Glen F. Allgood, Sr. Age 77 years, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, May 15, 2006. He was born May 10, 1929 to Glen and Louisa (James) Allgood in Marion County, IN. Glen retired from RCA in 1990 after 25 years of service. Previously, he was a driver for Scott Trucking. He was a Korean Veteran with the 101st Airborne. Glen was a life member of VFW Post 2999, a former drummer in the Old Moose #17 Drum & Bugle Corp., a Hoosier Heart Stepper and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He coached Little League at Community Little League for many years and was a 35 year member of the RCA Men's Bowling League. Visitation will be held Friday, May 19 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington Street. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, with additional visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Glen is survived by his wife, Gladys (Meyer); son, Glen "Fred" (Colleen); daughters, Brenda Walton (Scott), Marsha Manning, Carolyn Hurst (Steven) and Lori Pritchard (Larry); 12 grandchildren, 2 grandsons-in-law, and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lucian; sisters, Mary Helen O'Choa, Linda Wright and Jeraldine Rexroat; and son-in-law, Stanley Manning. Memorial contributions may be made to the Athletic Fund of Trinity Lutheran School, 8540 E. 16th St., Indianapolis, IN 46219.
He married Glayds Katherine Meyer May 27,1955. Glayds was born March 27, 1929 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN. Glayds was the daughter of Clarence Edward Meyer and Sophia C Martlage. Glayds died November 1, 2020.
