Alva died May 1, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., UT. Obit: Alva Wesley Davis "Al" When they called you home today, angels bowed in awe of the broken hearts. No one man can set claim to the wonderment of life that you shared. Love that had no bounds is your well-earned merit of riches. You left today my lifetime sweetheart, unparalleled Father, treasured Grandpa, beloved Brother, adored Uncle, and everlasting Friend. Alva Wesley Davis returned home on May 1, 2005. Born on May 29, 1937, in Peru, Nebraska to Carl Leland and Ada Bell Davis. Married October 1, 1962, in the Logan Temple, to the love of his life, Irva rene Edwards. He honored his country in the Korea Conflict as a Private First Class. 30 Year dedicated employee of Eimco and was currently employed by Lowe's. High Priest, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Fishing and hunting with his family and friends was what he enjoyed most second only to time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and Booboo, his most precious possessions. Survived by his wife, Irva rene, children, Laneya (Terry) Rino, Mailynn (Tracy) Eaton, Alva Jr. (Jacqueline) Davis, and Robert (May) Davis. Grandchildren, Brittany, Brandi, Caszidy, Teal, Mandarin, Autumn, Payden, Courtney, Trevor, Dakota, and Trevis. Brothers; Sam, Gary, Emmett, and Dallas. Sisters; Merna, Carol, and Corinne. Further family include Mother-in-law, Noma Edwards, Brothers and Sisters, Annabell, Tony, Mildred, Jan, Earl, Robert, Betty, Allen, Laurie, Phil, and Shereen. Preceded in death by his Father Carl, Mother Ada, and Father-in-law Irvin Edwards. If memories breathe life into the sweet simple pleasures you so loved, our hearts will be coupled forever. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6th, at 11 a.m., at the Copper Hills 3rd Ward, 6755 W. 3800 S., West Valley City. Friends may call Thurs. evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to services. Interment at Valley ViewMemorial Park, 4400 W. 4100 S.
