He married Nancy Jane Dalton March 23, 1890 in Breckinridge Co., KY. Nancy was born 1848 in NC. Nancy was the daughter of George W. Dalton and Nancy Jane Medlock. Nancy died February 29, 1904 in Ohio Co., KY. Nancy is buried in th Pleasent Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Forsville Kentucky

Gideon Alexander Allgood and Nancy Jane Dalton had the following children:

 4012 i. Etta Mae⁹ Allgood was born January 15, 1891.

 4013 ii. Kate W. Allgood was born in Yelvington, KY December 6, 1892. Kate died 1951 in Mt. Vernon, Lake Co., IL. Kate was buried in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Ohio County, Kentucky

 4014 iii. James (Jim) Dalton Allgood was born January 1894.

 4015 iv. Pearl S. Allgood was born March 1896.
