She married Harold Eugene Hendrix October 2, 1948 in Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., TX. Harold was born November 9, 1924 in Britton, Tarrant Co., TX. Harold was the son of Roy Hubbard Hendrix and Bessie May Clark. Harold died July 27, 2013 in Colleyville, Tarrant Co., TX. OBIT: Harold Eugene Hendrix, 88, a loving husband, father, papa and friend, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, July 27, 2013, surrounded by his family at a local hospital. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, with Ken Cormeans officiating. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday in Winscott Road Funeral Home's Michael Feely Memorial Chapel, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook. - Harold was born to Roy and Bessie Hendrix in Britton in 1924. He was office manager for Texas Phenothiazine Co. for many years and retired from Roadway Motor Freight. After his retirement, he worked part time at Charlie Hillard Inc. as its runner. Harold will always be remembered for his devotion to his wife and family. He had a love for fishing that he shared with his grandson. Yearly vacations to the mountains in New Mexico and Colorado were shared with family members fly fishing for days at a time. Harold enjoyed collecting coins and spent endless hours cataloging his coins and organizing them in books. Many a morning was shared with friends at Whataburger over coffee and biscuits and gravy. His coffee buddies were quite special and he loved sharing laughs and stories with them. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters and his grandson, Michael. Survivors: Wife of 65 years, Marie Hendrix; daughters, Patricia Hendrix and Marsha Feely and husband, Dan; son, Bob Hendrix and wife, Cheryl; grandchildren, Nathan, Aaron and Kaylyn; and many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
