He married Josephine Catherine Barnett November 29, 1849 in Winston Co., MS. Josephine was born May 6, 1833 in Alabama. Josephine was the daughter of Calvin Barnett and Ann (___). Josephine died June 15, 1930 in Winston Co., MS. Her body was interred at Wood Cemetery in Winston Co., MS. Company F, 5th Mississippi Infantry, Confederate Army. Lost a leg in Civil War.

+ 998 viii. Joseph Levi (Joe) Allgood was born August 23, 1863.

+ 1003 xiii. Ezekiel (Zeke) Allgood was born June 14, 1873.
